POWER SYSTEM STUDIES
The Power System Studies Group of Hood-Patterson & Dewar is a dedicated business unit and not merely a support service for our other departments. Hood-Patterson & Dewar is also an independent firm without allegiance or financial interest in any electrical power distribution product or system component. Our group is staffed with registered Professional Engineers with over 60 years of combined power system study experience.
We distinguish ourselves from other Study providers with our commitment to accurate, thorough detail while producing the Study report and by our continued involvement in the project until satisfactory completion. We remain vested in the project until all questions pertinent to the Study have been resolved to the client's satisfaction because we understand our good reputation will remain so only if our clients are satisfied.
While our Power System Study Group specializes in data centers and other mission critical and biohazard facilities, our clients also include the following types of facilities: industrial, commercial, healthcare, higher education, detention, and water/wastewater treatment plants. We understand the different needs of different types of facilities. For example, a data center may have different service continuity issues than does an industrial facility. Our Study reports provide complete, detailed documentation of system data, calculations, assumptions, time-current curve narratives, conclusions, and recommendations. The report is provided in searchable, bookmarked electronic format and in hard-copy binders which include color copies. We also provide the study input data files so that future system changes can be added to the system model at minimum cost.
